Ladies Dessert Night
Join us for an evening of sweet treats and fun fellowship! Tuesday, August 14 from 7-8:30 pm at Sherre Whalon’s Home, 3065 Dobie Road, Mason, MI 48854. Please sign-up here so we know how many ladies to plan for and contact Karen Zeilstra with any questions.
Women’s Summer Study
All women aged high school and above are invited to a Summer Study using Jen Wilkin’s book None Like Him. This will be a 5 week study meeting at church Wednesday evenings from 7-8:30 pm July 11th and ending August 8th. Through discussion of the book and corresponding Scripture, we will strive to glorify the God of no limits while embracing our own, resting in the freedom that comes from letting God be God in our daily lives and relationships. Books are available for $11 at the book table or online. Plan to read Chapters 1 & 2 before the first study on July 11th. Please email Katie Young if you have any questions or need a copy of the book due to financial hardship.
International Outreach
Acts 17 tells us that God “made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, in the hope that they might feel their way toward him and find him.” God is strategically using higher education as a means for scattering the nations, with the purpose that they should seek God and find him. Michigan State is ranked #16 in the nation for international student enrollment, with students from over 130 countries. What an amazing and strategic opportunity we have to reach the nations with the gospel right in our backyard!
We have three “on-ramps” this summer for you to get connected with our international outreach. These events have two purposes: 1) to explore and learn more about ministry opportunities, and 2) to have the opportunity to sign up and get connected.

Give and Serve Shared Pregnancy
URC has the opportunity to give and serve Shared Pregnancy this summer! Shared Pregnancy is a local organization committed to helping women experiencing challenging or unexpected pregnancies.
For the give portion, we will be collecting wipes, baby wash, powder, diapers, clothes, strollers and cribs. Please plan to bring the donations to church on Sunday morning, either May 27 or June 3.
For the serve portion, people from URC can sign up to either paint, clean, or do yard work at the Shared Pregnancy office. This would be a great idea for growth groups or a group of friends or families to do together. Email Christy Duffy (5duffys@comcast.net) and indicate which work team you’d like to be on. We will be serving on different dates from mid-June through August; there’s lots to do and with a congregation our size, we can make a real dent in helping the staff of Shared Pregnancy with these tasks so they can focus on the women coming to them for guidance.
If you have any questions, please contact Christy Duffy (5duffys@comcast.net) or Eric Lewandowski (lobofuerte@gmail.com).
