The University Reformed Church Diaconate is kicking off this season’s Give + Serve initiative with two opportunities to help with the flood crisis in Midland.
You can give a financial contribution to the relief fund via Midland Evangelical Free Church here.

On June 16, you can serve with Samaritan’s Purse (learn more about Samaritan’s Purse here), an evangelical charity which has been providing aid to the area. They are helping with the demolition and clean up of houses that have been damaged by the flood. If you would like to serve, please read more information here and then pre-register here.
Church vans will be taking a group to and from Midland (leaving at 11:00 am sharp). Please contact Joe Lukins at [email protected] if you’d like a ride.
If you would prefer to drive yourself, the address is: 6100 Perrine Road Midland, MI 48640
We will expect to work in Midland from 12:30 – 4:30 pm. You will need to bring your own lunch, but everything else will be provided by Samaritan’s Purse (tools, water, even a free t-shirt).
Volunteers 18 and younger will need a waiver from an adult. If you would like to help another day, we encourage you to plan another trip. Samaritan’s Purse will be in Midland until June 20.
