Join us for our GO/SEND Missions Gatherings as we fellowship over a meal, explore topics related to missions (often with guest speakers), and pray for our missionaries together. We will meet after the second morning service on 9/17, 10/22, and 11/19. Contact Mary Simon if you would like to help with food.
All women are invited to join an evening Bible study starting in September. This year there are a few different options:
~ Studying the book of Genesis using “The Promised One: Seeing Jesus in Genesis” by Nancy Guthrie. Meeting at 7:00 p.m. on the 2nd & 4th weeks of the month either Wednesdays (at URC) or Thursdays (in Holt), beginning September 27th & 28th. Sign up HERE.
~ Focusing on D.A. Carson’s book “Praying with Paul”. Meeting at 7:00 p.m. every other Thursday via Zoom, beginning September 28th. Contact Cheryl McCormick with questions. Sign up HERE

The class reviews basic Biblical teachings on what it means to be a Christian, the nature of revelation, sin and salvation, the sacraments, worship, and faithful communion with God. About URC also paints a picture of what it means to be a part of our church family. The 10-week class will start Sunday, September 10 at 9:00 a.m.

To promote equipping the saints for the work of ministry (Eph. 4:12) URC is offering its Biblical and Theological Foundations course this Fall. If you are interested in growing in your knowledge of Scripture and theology, and your ability to minister the Word to those around you, this class is for you. The class is a prerequisite for those interested in serving URC as an elder or deacon one day, but it is open to all members of the church — both men and women — with a heart to grow in leadership in the church. Meets Thursday mornings at 6:30 am, beginning September 14. Contact Chip Cogan for more info. Sign up here to attend.
Class syllabus available soon.
