Samuel (Sammie) was born in the Dominican Republic and began his ministerial training at a Bible Institute in Argentina, where he met his native Michigander wife, Lidia. After completing their studies, they got married and served together in Michigan before continuing their Bachelor’s degrees in Texas. Following graduation, the Lord called him to serve at a church in Houston as an elder of the church and the lead pastor for the Spanish Ministry and Community Outreach for twelve years. As a result of his growing love for Reformed Theology and tradition, they relocated back to Michigan, where Samuel serves as Pastoral Resident at URC while pursuing his M.Div at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary.
Sammie is passionate about making gospel-centered disciples and teaching God’s Word faithfully. He and Lidia also love to serve with Music and Missions. They have been married for 16 years and have three daughters, Genesis (11 years old), Eden (9 years old), and Adeline (6 years old).
