Summer Serve 2022

July 13, 2022 by Webmaster Leave a Comment

The Diaconate is launching Summer Serve 2022 at the request of our pastors. We are encouraging each family or individual at URC to WATCH, PRAY, and ACT.  WATCH (look for an individual or family in need), PRAY (ask the Lord for wisdom on how to proceed) and then ACT (take initiative and “just do something”). Consider serving a need that has an internal (URC) focus as well as an external (outside of URC) focus.

Summer VBS — July 25-28 — Registration is open!

June 3, 2022 by Webmaster Leave a Comment

Sound the Trumpets and “Prepare ye the way of the Lord!” Join us July 25-28 for VBS! Children 4 years old through children going into 5th grade in the fall will have the opportunity to learn about how the Old Testament prophets warned the people of Israel to prepare their hearts for the coming Messiah. In the New Testament, John the Baptist cried out in the wilderness for repentance because the Messiah was at hand. John, the disciple of Christ, closed the book of Revelation with the promise that the King is coming again to take his people home. “The King Is Coming!” rings out with the hope that Christ’s return is near and bids us prepare for the glorious moment. Each day will include singing, teaching, crafts, and recreation.

Please contact Katie Middlestead with questions.

VBS will be from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m., Monday through Thursday at URC.

REGISTRATION HAS CLOSED ~ THE MAXIMUM NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS HAVE BEEN REACHED.
