Growth Groups are a way to connect with the church body outside of Sunday morning to study the Bible together, pray together, minister to one another, and minister to those around us.
And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge–that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. - Ephesians 3:17-18
About Growth Groups
We call them “Growth Groups” because they are designed to be an environment in which individuals grow, community grows, and numbers grow as we reach out to those around us. Every growth group will be different, and each growth group will define its own particular purpose and function. In general, growth groups will meet at least bi-weekly, have some component of Bible study and prayer, and will be continually open to new people to the point that the group would eventually divide into two groups. This way, we will continually have a place in which to connect those not yet a part of our URC family.
